This website is made by and belongs to Blue Yard Hub.

You are welcome to use the Blue Yard Hub website and facilities based on the Terms and Conditions set out below. Terms and Conditions are liable to change, be added to or modified at any time without notice.

By entering and using www.blueyardhub.com you are deemed to have both read the Privacy Policy and accepted the following terms of use. If you do not accept these terms and conditions or a part of them, please refrain from using the website and our facilities.

Blue Yard Hub makes every effort to make sure the contents are accurate and up-to-date, but Blue Yard Hub does not offer any warranties (expressed or implied) as to the reliability, accuracy or completeness of the information appearing on the website.

Pre-Conditions for Participating in Activities

  • Participants will be required to sign a disclaimer for all activities.
  • Scuba diving participants will also need to complete a medical questionnaire. If the diver answers “YES” to any of the medical conditions on the questionnaire, then a consultation with a physician will be required along with the physician’s approval for participation in scuba diving activities. Medical clearance from a physician is valid for one year.
  • Certified divers need to present their certification card and logbook. In the event of false representation, Blue Yard Hub reserves the right to deny services to the offender.
  • Divers under the age of 18 need to provide written parental/guardian consent allowing them to dive.

Essential Items to Bring With You

  • Certification card.
  • Doctors certificate (if required).
  • Log book/referral or e-learning paperwork.

Recommended Items to Bring With You

  • Beach wear, sun cream, towels and slippers.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable bottle or flask that can be refilled at our facility.

Depth Limits

  • Divers age 8- and 9-year-olds: 4 m.
  • Divers age 10- and 11-year-olds: 12 m.
  • Divers age 12- and 14-year-olds: maximum 18 m for Junior Open Water Divers. Maximum 21 m for continuing education.
  • Open Water Divers or equivalent: 18 m.
  • Advanced Open Water Divers with deep dive or equivalent, Divemasters and (Assistant) Instructors: 30 m.
  • Divers with Deep Diving certifications: 40 m.
  • TEC Divers according to certification.
  • Blue Yard Hub reserves the right to remove diving privileges from any diver who exceeds depth limits and/or follows unsafe diving practices.

Junior Diver Supervision and Guardianship

After certification, 10- to 11-year-olds are restricted to diving with a parent, guardian or PADI Professional to 12 m maximum depth; 12- to 14-year-olds must dive with an adult certified diver.

Refresher Dives

A refresher dive is required for divers who have been inactive for 6 months or more.

Intoxicants

The use of drugs or alcohol before diving or snorkeling is strictly prohibited and anyone who arrives for class, snorkeling or fun dives under the influence or incapacitated will not be allowed to dive. Blue Yard Hub reserves the right to deny services to divers or snorkelers repeating the offense.

Marine Life

Feeding fish, collecting shells, corals, or any living or dead organisms from the sea is strictly prohibited. Please do not collect or touch anything (other than trash) and respect the sea and the environment. Divers and snorkelers found to be in breach of this rule will be asked to find a new dive center.

Marine Heritage and Fossils

Greek law prohibits the collection of any type of archeological material. Divers found to be in breach of Greek law are subject to heavy fines and/or imprisonment.

Insurance & Loss, Theft and Damage

  • Guests are responsible for taking out adequate insurance cover for their diving activities and equipment.
  • Blue Yard Hub is not responsible for any damage, loss or theft of any personal items. Furthermore, Blue Yard Hub is not responsible for dive equipment stored in their facilities or vehicles as the service is offered in good faith. All guests are encouraged to take out travel insurance for this purpose.

Rental Equipment

Though every effort is made to ensure our equipment is proper working order and fit for purpose, it is the responsibility of each diver to check their equipment prior to its use. Customers are fully responsible for any Blue Yard Hub equipment they use and will be charged full replacement cost for any dive equipment or dive center equipment lost or damaged. Please ensure equipment is logged in and out, and taken care of.

Replacement costs are as follows:

  • Weights: EUR 5/kg
  • Mask: EUR 45
  • Weight belt: EUR 12
  • BCD: EUR 300
  • Regulator: EUR 300
  • Fins: EUR 80
  • Long wetsuit: EUR 150
  • Short wetsuit: EUR 100
  • Snorkel: EUR 10
  • Computer: EUR 290
  • Other: price on application.

Cylinders

There is a EUR 50 service charge if the cylinder returned with less than 20 bar due to the diver’s misconduct.

Cancelation Policy

Blue Yard Hub reserves the right to cancel or alter activities and activity content based on availability, demand, weather or logistical concerns, or due to safety considerations. This may occur with little to no notice to the client, however Blue Yard Hub will endeavor to communicate any changes to scheduled activities at the earliest possible time. It is the goal of Blue Yard Hub to find the best solution for any changes or cancellations in activities and may offer alternative sites or activities. Blue Yard Hub will also work with the client on a case-by-case basis for all adjustments and cancellations with the client’s interest and safety in mind.

The client reserves the right to cancel an activity at any time. Activities cancelled on the behalf of the client are subject to a cancellation fee based on the time of year and a set notice period:
During High Season and Holidays: 1 June – 30 September / Clean Monday, 25 March (Greek Independence Day), Orthodox Good Friday, Orthodox Easter, Orthodox Easter Monday, 1 May, 28 October, Christmas, New Year:

  • Cancellations received 72 hours or more prior to the booked activity will be fully refunded.
  • Cancellations received between 48 to 72 hours prior to the booked activity; 50% will be refunded.
  • Cancellations received 24 hours prior to the departure of the activity booked; 25% will be refunded.
  • Cancellations received within 24 hours prior to departure or no-shows (failure to arrive); no refund.

During Low Season: 1 January – 31 May and 1 October – 31 December:

  • Cancellations received 72 hours or more prior to the booked activity will be fully refunded.
  • Cancellations received between 48 to 72 hours prior to the booked activity; 75% will be refunded.
  • Cancellations received 24 hours prior to the departure of the activity booked; 50% will be refunded.
  • Cancellations received within 24 hours prior to departure or no-shows (failure to arrive); no refund.
